Marine Manual Slewing Crane
Manufactured by Kuli Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as KL), the marine manual slewing crane is lightweight deck lifting equipment developed for general cargo ships, tankers and work vessels, designed and fabricated strictly in accordance with classification society specifications and international maritime safety standards.
This crane adopts fully manual operation for slewing, luffing and load lifting without hydraulic power or electric drive. Operators control the lifting winch, jib angle and rotary column via hand cranks and hand chains. Built-in mechanical self-locking structures are installed on the slewing, luffing and hoisting mechanisms. The crane can securely hold loads in position without sliding or dropping even when the ship’s transverse heel is within 5°, greatly improving operation safety on rolling seas.
The main column and jib are constructed of high-strength box steel with full marine anti-rust and anti-salt-spray coating treatment, suitable for long-term exposure to open deck weather. The mechanical transmission parts are equipped with wear-resistant lubrication components, featuring low failure rate and minimal daily maintenance cost. No complex power supply or piping layout is required, which simplifies ship installation and reduces later maintenance workload.
Standard safe working load ranges from 0.3T to 10T, and customized jib length, working radius and base dimensions are available to match different deck layout demands. For polar ship projects, we provide dedicated cryogenic customized solutions with low-temperature resistant steel and special cold-proof seals, enabling stable manual operation under ambient temperatures as low as -52°C. All required class survey certificates can be applied upon customers’ requests.
Compact pedestal structure occupies little deck space, with intuitive hand crank operation easy for crew to master. It is widely used for lifting crew provisions, hoses, signal lights, maintenance tools and sundries on various merchant ships.
